Denise D’Agostino–Human Resources

Bob Milos–Patient Advocacy and Assistance Programming

Bob has spent his entire career in the pharmaceutical industry, with over 40 years of experience in finance, business development, human resources, and as the GM for the hospital division at Berlex Laboratories. His expertise spans from general management and overall business strategy to human resources and patient programming, specifically patient assistance programs. Bob is passionate about helping people gain access to their medication and has spent several years creating a one-stop shop to help patients navigate the confusing and complicated world of patient assistance programming enrollment.

Douglas Stefanelli

… and over 30 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Specializing in creating new markets, developing large brands and Business Development. His strong ability to create and communicate a call to action was a proven driver to increase sales, build brand awareness, and promote a company’s image with his extensive expertise in both commercial and clinical development.

Prior to Co-Founding Averitas Health, Doug was the COO for a unique Clinical Research company that specialized in designing and interpreting diagnostic imaging endpoints within various clinical trials, including Oncology, Neurology, and Cardiology products in all Phases of development (pre-clinical to Phase IV).

Preceding this position Doug held numerous advancing positions at Berlex Laboratories and Bayer Healthcare. Within Berlex Doug managed and marketed all of the Diagnostic Imaging products, including the launch of the world’s first and most successful MRI contrast agent, Magnevist. In addition he also led the Specialized Therapeutics group as the Vice President responsible for the Neurology and Cardiology franchises, where the MS Drug, Betaseron was the largest, and most successful product in the Berlex portfolio. At Bayer Doug held the position of Vice President and General Manager and Executive Committee member where he was responsible for managing the entire Diagnostic Imaging business in the US, driving sales and market share capture to the highest levels experienced at Berlex/Bayer.

Prior to Co-Founding Averitas Health, Ken’s experience spanned more than a 30 year timeframe, during which he held many critical Sales and Managed Markets positions at Berlex Laboratories and Bayer Healthcare. Ken’s significant Sales experience includes National Director for the Berlex Specialty Therapeutics Division, where he had significant impact in making Betaseron (Berlex’ MS Drug) the largest and most successful brand within the Berlex portfolio. In addition to his years developing and expanding the sales for the Cardiology and Neurology franchises, Ken was also a driving force as the Vice President of the largest Sales force within the Bayer organization, VP Women’s Health.

Ken’s therapeutic expertise is substantial, having worked in women’s healthcare, neurology, cardiology, oncology, urology and Diagnostic Imaging while he was a Director within the managed markets group.

Alex Santini–Market Access

With over 30 years of pharmaceutical experience, Alex has held numerous sales, marketing, and key account management positions.  Prior to Averitas Health, Alex was an integral part of Bayer Healthcare, formerly Berlex Laboratories, as the Vice President of the Market Access Group. Critical components of his role included leveraging executive level business to business relationships with corporate customers, providing quantitative and qualitative analysis of national healthcare trends, and leading the development of strategies and plans for key customers to maximize opportunities for current and future business.  In addition to his senior role as VP Market Access, Alex was on numerous key committees and teams – Executive Committee Member, Operations Committee Chairman, Executive Pricing Committee Chairman, Core Team member-Global Market Access, National Pharmaceutical Council (NPC) Board Member, Public Policy Advisory Council, and Diversity & Inclusion Council.

Alex was the go-to-person for managed markets at Berlex and Bayer, setting the strategic direction, establishing the appropriate infrastructure and deploying suitable resources, as well as creating a value system in order to achieve desired business results.  Alex has successfully led acquisition and divestiture efforts, identified key market opportunities, spearheaded product launch teams and managed large commercial operation teams.

Alex started his career at Berlex Laboratories as a Sales Consultant for the Diagnostic Imaging division, utilizing his experience as a Radiology Technologist to help him drive sales and successfully launch the world’s first MRI Contrast Agent, Magnevist. Alex had and extremely successful career in Imaging, holding numerous Sales Management and Marketing positions within the group. He then went on to head up the National Healthcare Accounts which became the Market Access Group at Bayer. Here he gained substantial expertise in Managed Markets and overall Market Access expertise.
